RECBC publishes its disciplinary hearing decisions, consent orders, qualification hearing decisions and special compensation hearing decisions. Decisions and consent orders are also available through the Canadian Legal Information Institute, a public legal research database.

Publication Policy
Decisions and consent orders are posted on RECBC’s website for five years, ten years, or indefinitely, depending on the penalty imposed. For more information, please view RECBC’s Publication Policy.

Sanction Guidelines
RECBC’s Sanction Guidelines assist discipline committees in determining appropriate penalties and remedial measures, in the circumstances of individual cases, for licensees who have been found liable of professional misconduct. They also help the public and other stakeholders to understand the basis for penalties and remedial orders and why some may be chosen over others in a particular case. For more information please see the Sanction Guidelines

Guide to Consent Order Process
RECBC’s guide helps real estate professionals understand the procedures and policies for consent orders, consent order proposals and the proceedings of RECBC’s Consent Order Review Committee. The information in the guide provides a comprehensive overview of the consent order process, from start to finish. For more information, please view A Guide to RECBC’s Consent Order Process.
