Consent Order

Summary
A discipline committee of the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (the “Council”) accepted the Consent Order Proposal submitted by Peter Vanjoff (“Mr. Vanjoff”) on his own behalf and on behalf of Pete Vanjoff Personal Real Estate Corporation (“Vanjoff Personal Real Estate Corporation”), and found that Mr. Vanjoff and Vanjoff Personal Real Estate Corporation committed professional misconduct when:
- Mr. Vanjoff expected and accepted remuneration from a person, other than on behalf of a brokerage in relation to which he was licensed, in that he expected and accepted remuneration from Vanjoff Personal Real Estate Corporation before it was licensed, and
- Mr. Vanjoff expected and accepted remuneration from a person, other than on behalf of a brokerage in relation to which he was licensed, in that he expected and accepted remuneration from Vanjoff Personal Real Estate Corporation before it was licensed.
Results
A discipline committee of the Council has ordered, and Mr. Vanjoff on his behalf and on behalf of Vanjoff Personal Real Estate Corporation has agreed to, the following penalties:
- a discipline penalty of $6,750;
- enforcement expenses of $1,500; and
- successful completion of the Real Estate Trading Services Remedial Education Course.
