Summary
A discipline committee of the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (the “Council”) accepted the Consent Order Proposal submitted by Cynthia Gay Anthony and Grand Forks Realty Ltd. on her own behalf and on behalf of Grand Forks Realty Ltd., and found that they committed professional misconduct when:
- Grand Forks Realty Ltd paid remuneration to an unlicensed personal real estate corporation belonging to one of its licensees;
- Ms. Anthony, as the managing broker, allowed Grand Forks Realty to pay remuneration to an unlicensed personal real estate corporation.
Results
A discipline committee of the Council has ordered, and Cynthia Gay Anthony and Grand Forks Realty Ltd. on her own behalf and on behalf of Grand Forks Realty Ltd has agreed to, the following penalties:
- Cynthia Gay Anthony and Grand Forks Realty Ltd. be jointly and severally liable to pay a discipline penalty of $2,500; and
- jointly and severally liable to pay enforcement expenses of $1,500.
