Protecting Real Estate Consumers in BC
New rules for real estate professionals in BC came into effect on June 15, 2018.
The rules enhance consumer protection by:
- increasing the number and frequency of disclosures that real estate professionals must make to consumers, and
- ensuring that real estate professionals act in the best interests of their clients, and represent only either the buyer or the seller in the same transaction — not both.
