Upcoming Hearings

Council hearings are open to the public, and notices of upcoming hearings will be published on this page approximately two months in advance of a scheduled disciplinary hearing. A Notice of Hearing is not a finding of guilt or misconduct.

When the Council orders a disciplinary hearing, parties are advised of the time and place of the hearing in a Notice of Hearing that is usually issued approximately six months before the date of the proceeding. All licensees have the legal right under the Real Estate Services Act to propose a consent order when they wish to resolve a matter by consent rather than proceeding to a hearing. Licensees may submit a consent order proposal to the Real Estate Council up to 21 days before a scheduled hearing. If the proposal is accepted by a Consent Order Review Committee of the Council, no disciplinary hearing will take place.

The majority of disciplinary matters before the Council are resolved by way of consent order, and published on the Disciplinary Decisions section of this website. More information on the Council disciplinary process is available here.

Council hearings are open to the public unless the Disciplinary Committee decides that a hearing or a portion of a hearing must be held in camera to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of financial or personal matters, or other confidential information that would be damaging to any of the parties. The Council does not publish information about a licensee that would be considered an unreasonable invasion of their privacy and redacts third-party information in any published material.

Hearing dates and times are subject to change and are updated on the Hearings Calendar below.
