Committees and Advisory Groups

The Real Estate Council of BC has six committees that carry out many of its regulatory responsibilities, as well as advisory groups that provide industry consultation and engagement opportunities.

Council Committees are established in the Real Estate Council’s Bylaws. Guided by Council approved terms of reference, they report to Council on regulatory, governance and policy matters. Council committees may include both Council members and non-Council member representation.

Advisory Groups assist in maintaining communication, cooperation, and an exchange of information between the Real Estate Council, real estate industry professionals and other stakeholder groups.

The Council may ask an Advisory Group to explore an issue relevant to the specific industry sector and report its findings to Council. An advisory group may also identify and advise Council on trends and issues affecting the industry sector and real estate consumers. Each Advisory Group includes representation by one or more Council members.

For terms of reference and membership of Council committees and advisory groups, see below. If you have questions or require further information, please email info@recbc.ca.
