Summary
A discipline committee of the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (the "Council") accepted the Consent Order Proposal submitted by Steven Sion Hok Oei, and found that Steven Sion Hok Oei committed professional misconduct when, while acting as a listing agent, he represented that the house on the property had been built in 2006 when he knew or ought to have known that it was originally constructed in 1976.
Results
A discipline committee of the Council has ordered, and Steven Sion Hok Oei has agreed to, the following penalties:
- a reprimand;
- payment of a discipline penalty of $5,000;
- payment of enforcement expenses of $1,500; and
- successful completion of the Real Estate Trading Services Remedial Education Course.
