Summary
The Council received a claim for compensation from the Special Compensation Fund from Ms. Bulaqui in connection with the actions of Mr. Salanga. A hearing was held to determine whether the Claimant's funds were:
- Misappropriated or wrongfully converted;
- Intentionally not paid over or accounted for; or
- Obtained by fraud.
Results
A Compensation Committee of the Council found that Ms. Bulaqui suffered a compensable loss as a result of the conduct of Mr. Salanga and assessed that loss in the amount of $95,000.00.
The Compensation Committee directed that a certificate be issued in that amount.
