Consent Order

A discipline committee of the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (the "Council") accepted the Consent Order Proposal submitted by Farima Roberts, and found that Farima Roberts committed professional misconduct when, while acting as a listing agent, she promised to make a payment to her client in the amount of $4,200 representing a rebate or reduction of her commission, and

1. she did not reduce this promise to writing; and
2. she failed to carry out this promise.

Results

A discipline committee of the Council has ordered, and Farima Roberts has agreed to, the following penalties:

1. a reprimand;
2. payment of a discipline penalty of $2,500;
3. payment of enforcement expenses of $1,500; and
4. successful completion of the Real Estate Trading Services Remedial Education Course.
