Summary
A discipline committee of the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (the "Council") accepted the Consent Order Proposal submitted by Amandeep Singh, and found that Amandeep Singh committed professional misconduct when acting as the listing agent in the sale of the Property, a new home built by an owner builder under the provisions of the Homeowner Protection Act, and in particular, he failed to act with reasonable care and skill when he did not ensure that a disclosure notice was provided to a prospective purchaser.
Results
A discipline committee of the Council has ordered, and Amandeep Singh has agreed to, the following penalties:
- a reprimand;
- a discipline penalty of $1,500;
- enforcement expenses of $1,500; and
- successful completion of the Real Estate Trading Services Remedial Education Course.
