Mr. Dymont, while licensed with Metro Edge Realty, committed professional misconduct when he failed to verify that a representative's licence had been transferred to the brokerage, before the representative listed a property for sale with the brokerage.
Results
A discipline committee of the Council has ordered the following:
- Mr. Dymont is reprimanded and must pay a discipline penalty of $3,000 to the Council.
- At his own expense, Mr. Dymont must successfully complete the Broker's Remedial Education Course.
- Mr. Dymont submit to the Chair of the Consent Order Review Committee within thirty (30) days of completion of the Broker's Remedial Education course, a letter detailing what he has learned from the Broker's Remedial Education Course and how he has changed his practice accordingly.
- Mr. Dymont must pay enforcement expenses of $3,000 to the Council.
