Staff Leadership


The day-to-day management of the Real Estate Council is the responsibility of the Executive Officer in accordance with the policies established by the appointed Council members. The management team and staff support the delivery of programs and services for consumers and licensees.

Erin Seeley
Executive Officer

Responsible for all aspects of RECBC’s operations, Erin works closely with staff and Council members to ensure that the organization continues to fulfill its mandate.

An experienced senior leader, Erin served most recently as Executive Director of the Immigration Programs Branch in the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism, and Skills Training. She has also served as the Executive Director of Finance for the BC Immigrant Investment Fund and the BC Renaissance Capital Fund. Before joining the BC government, Erin worked in the technology sector as Manager of International Business Development for MacDonald Dettwiler & Associates. She is a graduate of the University of Victoria and holds an M.A. in International Studies from SFU.



Geoff Thiele
Director, Legal Services

Geoff oversees the Council’s discipline and other legal processes, provides general legal advice to Council staff and supports various committees.

A graduate of UBC and the University of Toronto Law School, Geoff has a background in  municipal and insurance law and in the investigation of professional liability claims. Prior to joining the Real Estate Council of BC, Geoff was the Director, Legislation, Ethics and Compliance for the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.



Lisa Holst
Director, Audit and Accounting

Lisa oversees the Council’s office and records inspection program and its internal accounting services. She provides general accounting advice to Council staff and supports various committees.

Previously the Director of Finance & Administration for Stringer Saul, a boutique London law firm, Lisa joined the Real Estate Council of BC in 2001 and has been the Director of Accounting & Audit since 2008. She has a degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, and received her CA designation in 1991.
