Located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the Real Estate Council of BC has a mandate to protect the public by enforcing the licensing and licensee conduct requirements of the Real Estate Services Act. The Council offers a respectful and engaged workplace.
The Council is seeking to grow its compliance team with the addition of a new Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to conduct investigations of inquiries and complaints from the public, other real estate licensees and regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies and other organizations.
The successful candidate will combine exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, an inquisitive mind, and attention to detail with a background in investigations or the real estate industry. This experience could have been gained as a real estate licensee, an investigative or compliance officer in another regulatory agency, or as a legal or law enforcement professional. In this role, the successful candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities, quickly synthesize and analyze complex situations, and understand the importance of due diligence and process.
