Summary
Sheila Elizabeth Campbell Francis and Michelle Denise Hawthorne represented a client in the sale of a property. They prepared and published an MLS listing for the property that contained a false or misleading statement about the property. The advertisement contravened section 4-7 of the Rules.
All licensees have a duty to act honestly and with reasonable care and skill. Ms. Francis and Ms. Hawthorne failed in this duty, contravening section 3-4 of the Rules.
Results
A discipline committee of the Council has ordered the following:
- Ms. Francis and Ms. Hawthorne are each reprimanded, and must each pay a discipline penalty of $1,000.00 to the Council.
