Date of Consent Order:  January 9, 2015

Issue: Inderjit (Inder) Arora, representative, OMAX Realty Ltd., Surrey, entered into a Consent Order with the Council that he committed professional misconduct within the meaning of section 35(1)(a) of the Real Estate Services Act in that he, contrary to section 3-4 of the Council Rules or section 35(1)(d) of the Real Estate Services Act, failed to verify that his client, PB, was authorized to act on behalf of the company 09324XX B.C. Ltd., when, on PB’s instructions, he wrote an offer on behalf of the numbered company when PB was not authorized to instruct Mr. Arora on its behalf.

Result: Inderjit (Inder) Arora was subject to an Order of a discipline committee that he: (a) be suspended for seven (7) days from February 18, 2015 to February 24, 2015, inclusive; (b) at his own expense, register for and successfully complete the Real Estate Trading Services Remedial Education Course; and (c) pay enforcement expenses to the Council in the amount of $1,250.00.
