Issue: Graeme Julian Erickson, associate broker, Macdonald Realty Ltd. dba Macdonald Realty, Vancouver, entered into a Consent Order with the Council that, while licensed as an associate broker with Macdonald Commercial Real Estate Services Ltd., Vancouver, he committed professional misconduct within the meaning of section 35(1)(a) of the Real Estate Services Act by failing to act in the best interest of his client, the seller, by failing to ascertain or make reasonable efforts to ascertain that the property did not include a storage locker, or use of a storage locker, before he listed the property for sale, contrary to section 35(1)(d) of the Real Estate Services Act and sections 3-3(1)(h) and 3-4 of the Council Rules.
Result: Graeme Julian Erickson was suspended for seven (7) days from June 15, 2011 to June 21, 2011 (inclusive), and was ordered to successfully complete the Trading Services Remedial Education Course and pay enforcement expenses to the Council in the amount of $1,000.00.
