Issue: Fatima (Tina) Maria Cooper, representative, TRG The Residential Group Realty Ltd. dba TRG The Residential Group Realty, Vancouver, entered into a Consent Order with the Council in which she consented to an Order that she committed professional misconduct within the meaning of section 35(1)(a) of the Real Estate Services Act in that she: (a) provided real estate services, including property management services for which she was unlicensed, other than on behalf of the brokerage with which she was licensed, contrary to section 7(3)(a) of the Real Estate Services Act; (b) accepted remuneration in relation to real estate services from a person other than the brokerage with which she was licensed, contrary to section 7(3)(b) of the Real Estate Services Act; (c) failed to keep the managing broker of her brokerage informed of the real estate services she was providing, contrary to section 3-2(a) of the Council Rules; and (d) failed to ensure all real estate advertising included the name of her related brokerage, contrary to sections 4-5(2) and 4-6(2) of the Council Rules.
Result: Fatima (Tina) Maria Cooper was suspended for fourteen (14) days from November 18, 2009 to December 1, 2009 (inclusive), and was ordered to successfully complete the disciplinary education assignment applicable to Chapter 2 (The Real Estate Services Act) and pay enforcement expenses to the Council in the amount of $1,000.00.
