NOTICE OF LICENSEE RESIGNATION
Jenette Louise Hilton, while licensed as a representative with Ocean Pointe Realty Ltd. (Ldy) dba Re/Max Ocean Pointe Realty Ltd. (Ldy), Ladysmith, requested the Real Estate Council of British Columbia to discontinue disciplinary proceedings against her as she has decided to permanently retire from real estate practice. Ms. Hilton was facing a disciplinary hearing into her professional conduct and would have been required to appear before a hearing committee of the Real Estate Council to respond to these allegations.
Considering the fact that there is likely no greater disciplinary penalty than not being licensed again, the Real Estate Council agreed with Ms. Hilton ’s request. Ms. Hilton surrendered her licence on January 8, 2009 and the lifetime ban on Ms. Hilton ’s licensing under the Real Estate Services Act was effective as of July 20, 2009.
